6th International Symposium on Lipid Oxidation and Antioxidants

Oral Abstract submissions extended to 06 June 2026

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to the 6th International Symposium on Lipid Oxidation and Antioxidants, which will be held from 12-14 October 2026 in Wageningen, The Netherlands.

Lipid oxidation and its control through antioxidant strategies have been studied for decades. Yet, these topics remain high relevant in today’s world, striving for greater sustainability, higher nutritional quality, cleaner labels, and minimal processing. The symposium will highlight cutting-edge research on lipid oxidation mechanisms, analytical methods, antioxidant strategies, and nutritional implications. It will also offer exceptional networking opportunities with world-leading scientists, R&D specialists, and industry partners for which lipid oxidation is a key challenge.

The symposium will be hosted by Wageningen University, internationally recognized as a global center of excellence in food, agriculture, and life sciences. Wageningen is the home to world-renowned research institutions and a leading innovation ecosystem including numerous industrial R&D centers located directly on campus. The university mission “to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life” aligns closely with the scientific challenges surrounding lipid oxidation in food and health applications.

Wageningen itself is a charming historical city, known as the place where the end of the Second World War occupation was signed on May 5th, at the Hotel de Wereld. The city offers many opportunities for walks and bicycle rides, whether it is along the Rhine river, through the Wageningse Berg or in the beautiful Arboretum Belmonte. For those who plan to stay a bit longer, we also encourage you to explore the nearby Hoge Veluwe National Park with its Kröller-Müller museum, home of one of the largest Van Gogh collection in the world.

We look forward to welcoming you to Wageningen for this exciting event.

Sincerely,

Marie Hennebelle (Wageningen University)
Claire Berton-Carabin ( INRAE )
John van Duynhoven ( Unilever)
