Welcome to ANAKON 2027 in Mainz
ANAKON is one of the leading conferences for analytical chemistry in the German-speaking scientific community. Bringing together researchers from academia, research institutions, industry, and government agencies, it provides a forum for presenting new scientific developments, innovative instrumentation and analytical methods – and, above all, for direct scientific exchange. The conference receives scientific support from the Austrian and Swiss professional associations for analytical chemistry.
Analytical chemistry is currently evolving at a remarkable pace. More powerful mass spectrometers, miniaturized sensors, advanced imaging techniques, high-resolution separation methods, and increasingly automated laboratory processes are continuously expanding our analytical capabilities. At the same time, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and data-driven approaches are changing the way we evaluate and interpret measurement data and translate it into scientific insight.
The convergence of modern instrumentation, automation, and data science is opening up entirely new possibilities for analytical chemistry. As a discipline that provides the tools to identify, quantify, characterize, and understand matter in increasingly complex systems, analytical chemistry is a key enabling technology for addressing many of the major scientific and societal challenges of our time.
At a time of such rapid development, personal scientific exchange is more important than ever. For many years, ANAKON has provided a central forum for the analytical chemistry community – creating space for lively discussions, new collaborations, the exchange of ideas across disciplines, and, importantly, for the next generation of analytical scientists.
In 2027, ANAKON will take place at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
